75th Anniversary of UACEG

SIXTH NATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON STEEL, TIMBER AND COMPOSITE STRUCTURES

The University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy (UACEG), Sofia, and the Department of Steel and Timber Structures are pleased to invite you to attend the Sixth National Symposium on Steel, Timber and Composite Structures which will take place in Sofia, 1st to 3rd November 2017. The Symposium will be organised within the programme of the International Jubilee Scientific Conference “75th Anniversary of UACEG”.

The Symposium takes place at two or three years interval and is the main scientific and professional event for the steel structures community in Bulgaria.

The main topics of the Symposium will be:

  1. Theoretical and experimental investigations on steel, timber and composite structures.
  2. Design of structures for earthquake resistance.
  3. Structural fire design.
  4. Practical aspects – problems and solutions.

As accompanying event, within the framework of the European project INNOSEIS: Valorisation of innovative anti-seismic devices funded by the European Commission through the Research Fund for Coal and Steel (RFCS), workshop “Innovative anti-seismic elements and devices” will take place during the Symposium.

Sponsor of the Sixth National Symposium on Steel, Timber and Composite Structures is the Bulgarian Association of Metal Structures – an association of the leading manufacturers of steel structures in Bulgaria, to which the Department of Steel and Timber Structures is associate member.
